Batik Air new direct flight route between Canberra and Denpasar takes off
Batik Air officially launched its three times a week service between Canberra and Denpasar, when it touched down today, becoming the second airline in the last twelve months to offer international flights from Canberra Airport.
Passengers on board the Boeing B737-800 received a traditional Welcome to Country, and were greeted by Canberra Airport, ACT Government and Indonesian Government representatives, soon after their flight landed at 7.00am. Local Canberra gifts were provided to all incoming passengers.

The aircraft departed for Denpasar at 8.00am, with departing passengers delighted at the opportunity to escape the Canberra winter and seek an escape in sunny Bali or beyond.
